This is approximately a one year period in which the Postulants participate in the activities of the Novitiate along with other young women who share the same ideals. They are given time for personal and community prayer and for spiritual direction. Religious formation consists of classes and conferences that help them discern their vocation and strengthen their spiritual life. During this time the Postulants are introduced into a life of intimacy with Christ, love of the Virgin Mary, personal prayer, examination of conscience, practices of piety, silence and discipline proper to the Novitiate, knowledge of the charism, life and activities of the Institute and community life.

  • Formation in the life of prayer and personal meditation
  • Daily participation in the Eucharist
  • Frequent reception of the Sacrament of Reconciliation
  • Spiritual reading
  • Daily examination of conscience
  • Marian devotion: praying the Holy Rosary in community
  • Study of our Mother Foundress, Saint MaríaSoledad
  • Study of subjects related to the religious life

     The Postulants prepare to enter the Novitiate as Novices with an eight-day retreat of Spiritual Exercises.
